They tell you that no one knows what causes diabetes. It is a complete mystery apparently.
Researching this for five years and reading over 250 books on the related subject, I have drawn some conclusions that are not rocket science.
It appears to me they knew from scientifically conducted and backed studies etc I read from clear back in the 30's EXACTLY what caused diabetes.
They knew in the early thirties, what to do to live out a normal life with diabetes entirely without prescriptions, at that time there were none.
A test of the diet survival system in the U.S. recently in the form of a study based on using and testing the viability today of doctors (from the thirties,) personally designed diabetes diet and life style plan.
It still worked and it is based on running your body on fat, like it was designed for You can read about the study here...
The ancestors from 2 million years that led to you did not eat any food with fast sugar release other then perhaps striking it rich finding a bee hive.
Weston Price, did a many year research, using the best scientific methods in the thirties with indigenous societies all over the world.
This included the Aborigines of Australia, a 50.000 year society that had no diabetes.
They and the other societies around the world that he studied, when put on the typical western diet, of flour, sugar etc. They started developing diabetes in high numbers within 18 to 20 years.
Others did studies in the thirties in Australia, where some of the Aborigines moved to town, went on western diets.
As soon as they developed diabetes, they did studies on options of handling diabetes where they sent these Aborigines back to their desert tribe home, to their traditional diet.
Where, back on their traditional diet they all were reported to have overcome diabetes within months.
The traditional excuse for denying evidence is that it was not done on a scientific basis" and it is all therefore just talks.
Therefore, as very well educated scientific people, they would say we have to ignore it.
Weston Price's thirties research was well researched on a scientific basis and it was completely documented. It and reams of studies later are all ignored.
This research was duplicated by Price in indigenous societies all over the world.
Spaced over a period of many years with the same results.
The problem or cause of diabetes is the change to a diet with high sugar release causing high blood sugar peaks.
There is no problem until concentrated refined sugar from the typical western diet is suddenly released into the blood stream causing a very high sugar peak.
Your body has developed a temporary primary defence to keep your cells from drowning from these spurts of high glucose (sugar) levels in your blood stream. (Like your ancestors discovery of a bee hive.) It was not made to handle 30 years of bee hives and ongoing high sugar peaks.
To keep you from drowning in the high sugar rushed into your blood stream, your body produces high levels of Insulin, the fat making hormone, to suppress this high sugar by forcing your muscle mass to absorb it.
This works as long as there is adequate muscle mass. However, after a number of years of abuse of this process, your muscle mass starts to develop a resistance to the abusive high insulin levels.
This insulin level often becomes four or five times the safe none damaging levels in order to dispose of the high sugar and causes serious health and body damage in addition
In addition the muscle mass shrinks 1% per year after age forty and with the higher and higher insulin levels some of the higher sugar is disposed of in self defence by turning some muscle mass into fat cells which do not absorb sugar.
Therefore the less muscle mass available, (from annual aging process loss and some conversion to fat cells) the higher the insulin level needed to force remaining muscle mass to accept the sugar peak.
Thus you have an ever self escalating rise in dangerously high insulin levels to dispose of your continuing sugar peaks in your blood stream.
It is likely the damaging side effects to other body organs from these high insulin levels that cause the early death of most diabetics, rather than the diabetes itself.
To see our graphic explanations of this process go here
At some point the insulin level cannot be raised to compensate for the diminishing muscle mass and developing insulin resistance. The sugar then rises uncontrolled in the blood stream, often undetected causing body damage along with the high insulin damage.
Often serious damage has been done before the diagnosis of Diabetes.
This is like an alcohol abuser, or smoker, your body can put up with it for years, but in most cases, not a traditional life time.
Thus we say you do not "get" cirrhosis of the liver, as an alcoholic, you earn it. you do not "get" lung cancer as a smoker, you earn it.
Neither do you "catch" get, or come down with diabetes, you earn diabetes.
You can as an alcoholic, or smoker, or sugar junkie, often quit in time, hopefully preventing further fatal damage.
They have so much trouble convincing people to give up the sugar western diet junkie habit, they cannot do it in 15 minute doctor office visit, but they can write you a prescription.
They have found it much more profitable and fits their operations, (and prosper) to tell you, just take the ever escalating chemical pills and insulin I prescribe, (we charge you merely big dollars for,) you can continue your hooked on junkie eating habit as usual, just taper off a little, (like asking the smoker go down to one pack a day) and you will be fine.
The punch line is they will also tell you that under this regime you can expect to die 15 years earlier then a non-diabetic.
Our research indicates a more intelligent, in your self interest, solution is to instantly stop all sugar input causing peaks, retrain you involuntary sugar control system to maintain lower sugar levels.
Both of these steps will be major life changes, difficult and unpopular for people that do not want to deal with or make the required effort to make the changes necessary.
We have no monetary interests in your actions either way.
