Odds 2 to 1 You Will Develop Dreaded Complications Even With Tight Control Medical Team Giving You False Outlook

There are interesting figures in this study that enforce what we have been telling you for some period of time.

A 20-year study recruited over 5,000 patients with type 2 diabetes in 23 clinical centers based in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland..

The study revealed that:

Better blood glucose control reduces the risk of major diabetic eye disease by a quarter
Early kidney damage by a third.

Better blood pressure control, in the many patients who have high blood pressure, reduces the risk of:
Death from long-term complications of diabetes by a third,
Strokes by more than a third,
Serious deterioration of vision by more than a third.

In the study, blood glucose and blood pressure levels were measured more frequently than usual. If either blood glucose or blood pressure were above an agreed target, the treatment dose was increased or other treatments were added.

What this bares out is that no matter how intensive your controlling blood sugar and blood pressure you only cut by a fourth or a third the onset of complications. (including death)

Certainly this is a significant cut, but it does not eliminate it, which many seem to think it does... "If I just keep my blood sugar and or blood pressure in line, I am home free..."

Far from the truth and reality. Odds are 3 to 1 or 2 to 1, at best, you will proceed to develop dreaded eye, kidney and/or nerve complications, and death, (most common "complication".) even with superb blood sugar control.

This bares out that the best conventional treatment or control only cuts it, it does not come close to stopping a diabetics moving on into diabetic complications.

This is why we are after far more, then just control, what correction or "fix" is happening is not even close to adequate.

The public has falsely been led to believe that when you have everything "under control" your life is going to be "peachy:.

When you can eliminate or at least improve moving on to complications of diabetes, from the present 25% cut under ideal control to 80% with the average persons control...then we are getting there.

This is why we are a publication oriented to a "cure" not a few percentage points control even under ideal conditions.

Secondly, we reported in issue two that medical school students were being told that getting blood pressure under control may be more important then blood sugar control for diabetics.

This study enforces that with blood pressure control cutting per centages of complications deeper then blood sugar control.

We have told you that what you need to pay close attention to, is your blood pressure improvement and like your blood sugar meter gives you blood sugar feedback, blood pressure readings can give you progress feedback you need.

Most Walmarts and many drug stores have free sit down and take your blood pressure devices.

Use these for now to keep tab on what's working and what's not working in lowering your blood pressure.
