Each issue we have new readers and they of course wonder what this newspaper is all about so we have to go over some of this and it gets boring for regular readers,
But....hang in there we have new developments and outlooks as we advance our understanding of what has happened to us....(each issue) and to our body, our well being and our life expectancy as you and I were diagnosed with diabetes.......
and....we have figured out more in what "works" to not only stop but "undo" some of the damage already done.

When you and I were diagnosed with "Diabetes" was it really the end of the world as we knew it?

Was it basically the end of life as we knew it?

You can pretend it has not really affected you all that much and keep on doing what you have been doing and indeed see how long you can get away with it..........

In fact this is exactly what many do .....
If you turn your world upside down and make some drastic changes, you may be envious of the person who is "geting away" with doing what they have always done.

Like the smoker who quits abruptly and goes thru the agony of withdrawal, (stopping of long term behavior) while observing a friend who is keeping right on puffing and seems to be "surviving".

Yes, I use this comparison with smoking because it took 80 years for the American public and even the medical society to accept the idea that "smoking" was killing us.

The favorite stand by saying, was "nobody knows for sure" that tobacco kills.
Well known doctors were appearing in magazine ads even in medical journals, in their white coats, saying "enjoy this brand like I do...."it is More Mild".

Well when we tell you what we do here some will say..."nobody knows for sure" what causes diabetes. So, they say, "I might just as well keep right on doing what i have always done."

Actually, when you research this you find they have known "for sure" what causes diabetes since the 30's and you go back and read the studies yourself, it is as obvious as the nose on your face.

It was the same with smoking....they knew for 80 years smoking killed you, and they knew all the detail of all the ways.
What I tell you here is going to have as much trouble being accepted as dealing with the reality, "smoking kills you, it is NOT if, almost without exception the only question is "WHEN"?

Smoking damage is ACCUMULATIVE.

Body damage accumulates.....to a point of no return. Any change, then is TOO LATE.

I compare Diabetes to developing a bad cough with smoking.......... the cough likely will not wind up killing you, but it is an early warning you are "In Trouble".

Actual Diabetes itself, like the cough with smokers, kills only a surprisingly small percentage of diabetics.
It well may disable you but the cause of your death itself, will rarely be the "cough" or diabetes.

The cough with smoking and diabetes with "modernity’s" diet and lifestyle, both "wake up" warnings that you have passed the point of handling the damage.

Your body, in both is telling you it is passing the point of no longer being able to handle the damage. ......and may already have.....

Both are a result of accumulated so far. "body damage".
Your body , if you knew the truth under what you have been doing to it, has been doing miracles to make you a survivor this far.

Hopefully, if you stop ALL further damage immediately, there is a good chance you may be in time and your body can turn things around and recoup enough, that it need not drastically lower your life expectancy, or of your level of overall health and well being.

For Example a smoker that has pickled his breathing capacities but by 50% may regain a few percentage points over years of recouping.

No matter what he does there is NO

The smoker may retrieve a small part of the lost lung capacity but there is no "cure" to put them back to where they were. Damage is permanent.

This is the way it is with diabetics. Any of the (what they call "complications of diabetes" nerve damage, kidney damage, eye sight damage etc. is almost totally not recoupable.

Diabetes is the leading maker of invalids but itself is NOT a leading cause of death.
Diabetes is an early warning (merely a symptom) that you are and have been doing serious body damage enroute (in a hurry) to other factors such as cancer, strokes, heart attacks, Alzheimer's etc that will most likely be what kills you early.
So in our research to understand and fix my (and yours) diabetes (and regain the 15 to 19 years estimates loss of life expectancy) it became apparent that diabetes was just a symptom of a much bigger problem.
We also discovered from reading thousands of studies ( we get more then 20 day ) (plus read old ones, clear back to the 30's) that obesity was just another symptom (wake up) or manifestation (early warning) of the same basic problem.
That you likely had time if acted correctly immediately with the warning from diabetes or obesity to stop the cause of these you would head off further slide into the killer diseases. (further manifestations of the same cause) ,,,,,
Now you may want to take some action to reverse what’s happening to you but you are likely to "buy into" or be "sold into" the wrong steps which will at best merely delay slightly what is proceeding to happen to you.

When you UNDERSTAND what is happening to you and why, then the fix is pretty obvious and you wont be falsely sold into some other inappropriate "sounds good" ineffective action and expense.

My job here then, which I consider most important, is to get you to understand what I learned from reading over 250 books and thousands of recent (and old) studies on related subjects.
It has taken 4 years but I now believe I have the correct understanding of the big picture. The actions I have taken as a result of that understanding have worked wonders for me and others.

You can easily make more correct decisions to fix your overall health when you completely understand how you got here and how you can help your body get you back to where your health should be, under the "already damaged" circumstances.
