This is the simple formula that works well, and remember there is no bookkeeping, no counting, no reading labels... no research, This formula is what you use when you have decided to fuel your body ONLY with what it was designed for. Which is the best way to go? No having to decide "what can I get away with"...
Tip ......What you want is mostly in the out of the way around the outside edges of the super market. The high margin high profit processed food is in the high traffic area.

Tip 2: Do NOT bother to read labels....If it has a label it is processed food. You NO LONGER eat processed food if you have decided to fuel your body ONLY with what it was evolved and designed for.

Eating What Your Model Body Was Designed For, (Like Your Ancestors) Simplified

1. If your personal ancestors could not have obtained it with a rock or a sharp stick do not buy it.

2. If it did not run, swim or fly during growing up, do not buy it.

3. If it does not rot, sprout or spoil do not buy it.

What to Eat: getting into refinements:

Keep in Mind I sell Nothing, These are my findings after Studying the subject and Being a human laboratory rat for four years.

Your ancestors of over ten thousand years ago DID not eat dairy... It did not exist. (Only about 15% have any adjustment to dairy (mostly European) and absolutely NO Asian. Therefore you will NEVER see cheese in a Chinese buffet.

This is mostly due to lactose intolerance. (past baby age no enzyme to digest it correctly) Exceptions... Butter is mostly fat and does NOT have this problem. Yogurt is predigested by bacteria, (culture) Those 2 Dairy Exceptions highly recommended in your diet. (plain Full fat Yogurt ONLY)

Your ancestors did not eat potatoes. Columbus brought the first ones to Europe. Not edible by man raw, too high sugar, too fast cooked. This includes for diabetics NO root foods cooked.
Nuts, eat all you want EXCEPT peanuts and cashews. Your ancestors never ate em, and they create problems you don't need. Highly recommended, eat many helpings a day of walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds etc. Do NOT worry about fat, you want all you can find.

Eggs and Meat. Eggs your ancestors ate contained elements almost totally missing in eggs grown in "factories of wire walking out of the sunlight grain stuffed chickens. There are all sorts of figures on this but eat lots (unlimited) of eggs but try and get farm "range raised". (watch this one super markets have learned how to legally beat this term) buy them from some one who raises them so you verify.

Your ancestors ate snake, turtle, bird eggs etc. do the best you can to locate good source.
Factory Meat.. Disaster started (USA Primarily) in 50's and huge contributor to drop in American health. Confined grain force fed hormone speed grown, heavy antibiotics to keep alive in adverse conditions. Results in meat almost entirely Omega 6 fats, almost no Omega 3. (range raised 50-50.) 1/20th normal CLA. You need to find a source of RANGE grass raised buffalo and beef, mutton etc. (they are now force grain feeding buffalo also) so do NOT assume buffalo is grass raised. some is not.
Most health experts tell you that you have inflammation problems etc because you are short of Omega 3 fats and you should take pills and eat fish.
They do NOT tell you why you are short of natural meats Omega 3. (Note: wire confinement raised eggs have same missing Omega 3 fat and very serious cla problem)
So when you eat fish, if you are eating catfish, tilapia, farm raised, (nearly all is) they have EXACTLY the same problem.
Those farm raised fish are being force fed corn and surplus vegetable oils. Same result. No one else tells you this stuff...

Do NOT eat any farm raised salmon etc. Another whole story but it is a disaster. They have to dye farm raised salmon pink, and many stores sell farm raised as much higher priced wild salmon. Irregardless very important to avoid farm raised. Buy only sockeye salmon, it is wild only.

Actually all wild fish except sardines (eat once a week) seem to becoming a health hazard, from absorbing mercury dumped in atmosphere settling in oceans etc. Try and get your Omega 3 from range raised meat and eggs.
Avoid all grains (your ancestors did) except quino, buckwheat and flaxseed. Gluten intolerance is common, and there is a lot more to the story. Several books, take my word for it ELIMINATE all grains.
Fruits, almost off limits entirely for diabetics because last 100 years of breeding higher and higher sugar content fruit because it sells best. 3 times the sugar content of same fruit 1900. Absolutely NO JUICE.
Absolutely no artificial sugar substitutes except stevia and i would personally steer clear of that. Sugar is health food compared to so called sugar substitutes. Avoid all....period. I have done the research, over and over. Same result.
