Choose 1: Feel very important as a cash cow to the Medical society, Media accepted and promoted, You will be doing the accepted popular thing.
Choose 2: Some will wonder about you. Your main advantage, will be all the exercise you get acting as pallbearer for those who chose one.
Seriously, those of us who chose two are starting to get some notice that despite
spending twice as much as any other country, your life expectancy is now 46th in the world, just a pinch better then if you lived in Cuba. *47th". Other media still using older figures that say we are 36th.
Actually my figures are so old I expect at the accelerated continuing to plunge every year, rate, U.S. is now likely 50th or lower, slightly poorer then
Uganastan or some such.
Here, everyone had thought that we were with spending all that money, getting the finest medical advice, drugs and treatment and obtaining the longest life expectancy in the world.
What a shock when they learn the truth.
We challenge you to look at some other life expectancy figures, such as compare those with expensive by pass surgery and those without. Those taking cholesterol drugs forcing lower
cholesterol compared to the senior citizen death rate of those with HIGH
cholesterol. You will be shocked, it is not what you expected again.
You just need to look at what will work to keep you around the longest fully functional, not as a hot house vegetable.
Started out researching why I got diabetes, what to do about it and really pissed that
I may have had it for years and no one supposedly in the know told me.
Now i have 15 years chopped off my life expectancy according to the medical people when I was diagnosed with diabetes and not much you can do about it, it is
incurable, they say, "you just have to make the most of it".
Anyone over 70 and 60 pounds over weight is automatically a 60% or better odds of being a diabetic, if you have looked up diabetes at all you know that much.
I had told two doctors in two different parts of the country, I had night sweats, tingling feet and legs that kept me from sleeping, and had to go to the bathroom every two hours. never tested me.
Was in hospital for full day for a zillion tests, thought I had heart attack, never picked up on diabetes. My dentist knew i had multiple root canals for two
years, automatic warning patient has diabetes, never told me to check.
All that was a pinch above mal practice. Maybe it was. Some say you may have diabetes ten years before detecting it.
I detected mine with a one dollar test strip from a friends finger prick test meter.
Pretty bad when you have to discover and prove it yourself.
Long time type one patient said try your blood sugar out...Harlan, sure
enough, my figures, twice as high as hers. Knew with $1.00 test I positively had diabetes.
Was on medication for under two months, wound up almost passing out in a movie from too low a blood sugar (over reaction from sugar lowering medication) hypoglycemia its called). Figured out I had enough problem trying to learn to handle high blood sugar, I did NOT need to worry about low blood sugar if I got off the medication
So shortly after I learned how to keep my peaks at reasonable level and been off all medication since. (lost about 60 pounds in process more or less
accidentally.)
This is all background for new readers, who should know where I am coming from.
Long time newspaper publisher amongst other businesses and had done research on tough subjects before for one of those.
Diabetes took me over 100 books before it started to fall into place and new pieces of the puzzle are still fitting in since
I get about ten studies and articles etc to go thru daily. Now at over 250 books and get most information now from the internet daily, (right up to the minute information.)
I go back and read studies clear back to pre 1900. Recent one was a study in London about 1878, on obesity. A five foot 300 plus guy with money was trying to lose weight. Anyway paid for tests etc for the only doctor to get his weight off with eat all the fat meat you want diet, and get off
starches and carbs.
The doctor ran a study that proved that the only diet that lost weight permanently
was the high animal fat and meat diet it went head to head with all the count calorie type diets. The doctor wrote a book on the study but no one would accept that the high fat diet was the only one that really worked. He almost lost his practice and had to "recant" say it really
wasn't. true.. The medical society just would not accept it... Still happening today.
Worse case illustrating the medical society not accepting was about 24 years an
Australian country doctor claimed ulcers were caused by bacteria and he was curing ulcer patients in two weeks.
The entire convention got up and walked out on his presentation because any one with any sense who had been to medical school knew that bacteria can not live in stomach acid.
