Please make the effort to really check this graph out and understand it, this will help make it clear to you why obesity and/or diabetes caught up with you.

Once you fully understand that, it will be much clear on how to handle it.

You will understand what is creeping forward and what if anything you can do about it.

It is natural to be afraid of something you do not know about.

Here you can learn about what your opposition is and no longer be afraid of it because you will understand it and what it takes to handle it........

.........and make it a "no problem."

We planned this graph to be sort of a turning point for you, in dealing with your obesity and/or diabetes, because this will hopefully make it possible for you to fully understand it.

Your author spent five years figuring out what you and I are dealing with here and why it happened,

I now believe this will help you understand it too in much shorter order.

In a nutshell...

You were not made for high sugar peaks but your body came with an emergency method to handle occasional peaks.

When your liver was full and nowhere to get rid of the (not made to handle this) high sugar peaks your body made high levels of insulin (the fat making hormone) to force the dangerously high excess sugar into your body's muscle cells.

This was sort of an emergency dump for disposing of a high sugar level you were not supposed to be encountering with your model body.

Got that...?

Read that again if you were not paying full attention. Understanding this "happening" is the key.

With this system and the emergency high sugar dump (your muscle mass) you likely got away with these sugar peak excesses,

Despite not being made to handle high sugar peaks, you likely did get away with no big adverse effect for 40 plus years.

(Like the smoker got away with smoking 2 packs a day for 30 years.)

Now, see on chart above Age 40 the "decline starts here." upper left.

Note on the graph, the decline "how your muscle mass shrinks" from here on 10% every ten years, whether you exercise or not.

This means ten per cent less sugar dump available to compensate.

Your body doubles the amount of insulin every ten years, see lower left, white blue border "up bar" "Rising Insulin" to force the remaining muscles to take up the same amounts of sugar previously absorbed by a larger muscle mass..

Off to the bottom right in yellow you see the side effect of high levels of the "fat making" hormone "Insulin." Making some of your remaining muscle cells into body fat.

Some muscles cells are turned into FAT and when that happens, the newly made fat cells DO NOT absorb sugar.

Now you are losing sugar dump absorbing muscle cells two ways, year by year and the insulin is as a result rising higher and higher to compensate.

.....and you are getting fat faster and faster, losing more sugar dump muscle cells by fat and age....... and SOON

..... NOT ENOUGH muscle cells sugar dump available.... and high blood sugar overflows into your blood stream and sticky up the works.

YOU JUST ARRIVED AT DIABETES.....
How fast you got there was determined in a good part by how often and how many over limit sugar peaks you did.

This is an over simplification and approximation to illustrate, but you should now basically understand how you arrived at diabetes.

We will talk about this later in understanding how you handle it using this same graph.
