3 years of research, 200 plus books, thousands of studies reviewed, It suddenly all fell in place, while doing research on what was common and worked most often in extending longevity, This sentence, read months ago suddenly made the answer to the big overall question of decline of life expectancy in US clear. The only thing common to all who live to a ripe old age, is they ALL have Low Insulin Levels. This I suddenly concluded must mean that those dying prematurely, have unusually high insulin rates. Since I am a diabetic and researching this all to solve my own survival, I looked at the latest and they now say diabetes lowers your life expectancy 14 years. (Previous estimates all said 10 years). A diabetic is a person who, to control high blood sugar, has run such high insulin for years that his body has over the years now developed so much resistance that even 4 or 5 times normal level (pancreas production maxed out) of insulin wont control it.Recently, I had figured out from research and concluded that Obesity was not caused by Diabetes and that Diabetes was not caused by Obesity, but both were caused by and resulted from the same problem. When ever higher insulin could no longer suppress blood sugar from doing body damage, (blood sugar damage is things like nerve damage, neuropathy, blindness, kidney damage etc.) then that was diagnosed as diabetes. In making and perusing charts of normal roller coaster slight up and downs of controlled blood sugar, compared to top of the page spikes of diabetics uncontrolled blood sugar, it suddenly occurred to me, that controlled small fluctuation line was only controlled because of the body making HIGH INSULIN spikes to control and offset it.That nobody was making a chart showing the huge spikes in insulin necessary for the NON DIABETIC, corresponding insulin spikes to control that sugar. So it was not just the diabetic, the non diabetic was maybe successful in making huge amounts of insulin and was still able to suppress his blood sugar. Sure enough I found a doctor that had a patient that was making over 100 times normal insulin level and was NOT DIABETIC because it controlled her blood sugar. Already aware of the huge damage high insulin does to your body i researched it further, and thought even the non diabetic is doing bad (and maybe even worse) body damage with high insulin levels. What really upset me was my doctors reaction to my (early on) initial medication failing to control my blood sugar levels. He put me on a medication that forced my pancreas to produce even higher insulin levels. The next most upsetting thing from the medical field was finding out the new doctor nor the previous one were neither one even slightly interested in finding out what my insulin level was. I had to insist that I have an insulin test. My initial test was 18. Ten, or below is considered tolerable and I now have it down to 5.5 on my last test. Have written previous articles on the huge damage high insulin can, and does to your body. This longevity research just backs up that NO ONE with high insulin levels makes it to a ripe old age. and I really do not have to figure out which degenerative disease, such as cancer, stroke, cardio vascular disease, Alzheimer's, obesity, diabetes etc. is going to kill me I need to realize that HIGH INSULIN is a key factor. Now, I am 80 years old and I do not have the luxury of five years more research on the subject, that will be too late for me. Probably for many of you. If you die of one of these in the next five years, verifying this with scientific tests and further research wont help you either. When I started research I thought I was trying to figure out how to keep diabetes from killing me early. Was not too far in before I was amazed to find out, diabetes was only a slight chance of killing me early, much more likely was all of the other degenerative diseases, (I call them do it to yourself diseases) and that are caused by what appears to be all the same thing. It looks to me, caused by the same thing as diabetes, that if you are into one (with high insulin) you have four times the chance of normal of dying of one of the others. These degenerative diseases are your bodies survival system reaction to try to save you from being killed by modern man input. (For example: high insulin is a bodies self defense mechanism and reaction to save you from being killed by syrupy blood sugar resulting from too much sugar being digested too fast). What I am saying and demonstrating is that this is a "survival system saving you" from modern day input that if done long enough, the by product of eventually, kills you, a "do it to yourself" disease, It is NOT your bodies fault or your genes, it is what you are eating, etc (your uneducated mistake) that your survival system has no programming to correctly handle, any other way. To fix and eliminate high insulin levels that do the damage, (cause diabetes, obesity, degenerative diseases etc,) you need only to eliminate HIGH SUGAR PEAKS. This subject is not only a book it is several books. We have boiled it down to a column several places to get you started. In a sentence or two here. cut out all foods that digest to sugar quickly. (high glycemic) examples, sugar, flour, root vegetables, fruit, eat slow and often etc. research further Be sure and read up on what damage HIGH INSULIN does and is the root cause of. You will likely agree, that here is the real source of the problem of explosion of obesity, diabetes, and early death from degenerative diseases. Fix it and you likely add back ten years to your life expectancy.
